Pot Luck

Don't forget we have a pot luck tomorrow, April 15. We moved it to the third Sunday because of Easter last week. Everyone is invited!

A Visit with Dorothy Knapp

Mom, Connie, Zack and Elizabeth and I all went to visit Dorothy Knapp today. She's recovering from a heart valve replacement and doing pretty well. She's lost some weight, but she's in good spirits. She walked down the hallway while we were there. She's in pretty good spirits and I'm sure she'd love to hear from any of you.

Deanne's 85th Birthday

Today was a very special day at church. Deanne Schenk celebrated her 85th birthday. Her granddaughter, Colleen, decorated the fellowship hall so beautifully and prepared a luncheon celebration following the church service. It was a great time.

Christmas/New Years

I missed some posting here, it seems. We had our School Christmas program and it went very well, I thought. This Christmas at church we had a different type of Christmas program with more music than usual. I hope you enjoyed it. I'm now on vacation for 10 days in Oregon. We took the train and it was a blast. If you'd like to keep up with our trip copy and paste this URL into your browser:

Christmas News

We had a nice time going to see the Nativity together. I hope you'll get a chance to see it if you haven't already. It's good to support the movies with positive messages such as this one.

Don't forget we have 2 different Christmas programs for you this year. On Wed., Dec. 20, we'll be having our school Christmas Program at 7:30 p.m. There will be a lot of singing, some piano pieces as well as some poems and caroling. I think you'll enjoy it. The program lasts about one hour. We hope you'll come and support the kids.

Secondly, we'll have our Christmas Eve service this Sunday at 9:30 a.m. There will be lots of special Christmas music for you to enjoy and Pastor Bob will tell the Christmas story to the children. Come celebrate Christ's love with us and then spend the day with your family.
